CIC Energigune is seeking an experienced Researcher to engage in the Li-S line and Advanced Interfacial Analysis Research Group

  • Proof of concept study of Li-S solid state batteries
  • Perform electrode & solid electrolyte (mainly polymer-based) preparation, cell fabrication, and electrochemical testing of the materials.
  • Characterize of metal anode surface, electrolyte/electrode interfaces and understand SEI formation.
  • Collaborate in writing proposals to secure funding from government and industrial sources.

What we need

Qualification requirements:

  • PhD in Materials Science, Solid-state Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry or related fields.
  • Training and expertise in full electrochemical characterization of positive and negative electrodes.
  • Experience in analysis of Electron diffraction data, Transmission and Scanning electron Microscopy.
  • Experience with surface analysis techniques such as Raman and photoemission spectroscopy. Knowledge of surface modification and functionalization processes will be an asset.
  • A team player who can collaborate with other groups, technical centers, and industries.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Experience in solid-state polymer electrolytes and energy storage technologies (e.x. Li-S systems) would be an added advantage.
