From 2013 to onwards, Iñigo Ortega is a PhD student at the CIC EnergiGUNE (Miñano, Spain) and his research work is related with new materials for thermal energy storage.
From 2012 to 2013, he studied the Master in Renewable Materials Engineering in the Polytechnic School of San Sebastian (UPV/EHU) and collaborated with the Research group of the UPV/EHU "Materials + Technologies (GMT)".
From 2010 to 2012, he worked at Tecnalia Research&Innovation (San Sebastián, Spain) in the Energy and Environment Division. His research activity here was focused on the valorisation of different metal scraps, slags and wastes.
From 2005 to 2010 he studied Chemical Engineering in the School of Engineering of Bilbao (UPV/EHU). During the last course, he undertook a scholarship in AZTI-Tecnalia where he carried out his final career project developing a new plant for the valorisation of food and agricultural wastes by anaerobic digestion.
