Dr. Pedro López-A. completed his Ph.D. in Materials Science at Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB) in 2014. After his Ph.D. he joined the Prospective Electrochemical Systems research team at Saft (Bordeaux, France) as a Marie-Curie post-doctoral researcher in the frame of the ECOSTORE Marie Curie ITN project. During this period he was involved in the synthesis and characterization of novel conversion materials for electrodes, the development of new fast Li-ion solid conductors and the evaluation of the electrochemical performance of all-solid-state batteries. He has collaborated with researchers from the ICMPE-CNRS (Thiais, France) and the Université de Genève on the development of advanced metal-hydride nanocomposites as anode materials and sulfide-based solid electrolytes.
